Hardy bog plants accent the water garden by adding color and shape to the water garden. Our
plants are grown in 2" net pots to insure good root development to reduce transplant shock. Our
method of growing the bog plants in this way reduces the likelihood of the plant dying back like
bare root stock normally would. The size of the plant that we ship varies by variety. We try to ship
plants that are semi-mature not just new starts.

Pickerel Rush

(Pontederia cordata) Enjoy purple blooms all summer long. Grows
about 2’ high and about 2’ wide. Very easy to grow.

Pickerel Rush White

(Pontederia cordata "alba") Long blooming period and it is a
profuse bloomer. Grow and winter this the same as the above pickerel.

The stems twist and “corkscrew”.
Grows to an average of 2’. Everyone really seems to enjoy this
unique plant. It is also extremely winter hardy.

Striking dark green foliage with
yellow-gold vertical striping. The plant maintains its variegation
and is very hardy. It grows 2' to 3' tall.

Dark green stiff foliage is
evergreen. Grows 6" to 8" high. Prefers shallow water to just moist
soil. A nice foreground plant for the pond.

The dark green stalks of this plant
are similar to bamboo. A popular choice. Gets 2' to 3' high. It
prefers very shallow water to just moist soil.

Needle-like foliage grows to 4 feet. Stalks are white with pale
green stripes. It is a very attractive plant and nicely accents the water garden.

water garden. The 2’ - 5’ spikes are green with white horizontal
stripes. It is very easy to grow, give it plenty of room.
