bunny I am tacky I grow water plants in tubs if I don't have room in my water garden because it is full. I hate to throw water plants away. They are still pretty even in a tub.

Bunny, you could grow it in dirt in a tub of water outside your pond if you really wanted the plants.  Make yourself a little bog area.  Smiley  You could alway sink the tubs in the pond for winter or if the tubs are buried in the ground you could just leave them where they are.

Oops!   Sorry Vickie...somehow I didnt see your last post about tubs!  Double whammy!

I have tubs all over the place. I have 4 stock tanks. A rubber made small stock tank. I have at least 15  tubs. I used vegetable filters for plants. I have plants everywhere. My watergardens are for growing plants not for looking pretty. I also have mosquito fish in every tub. This is a vegetable filter on this pond

That is my free pond. The cow tank was free the liner was free and the brick was free. Now that is the perfect kind of pond. I did have to buy the filter. LOL!

The thalia had pretty sturdy stems I think they would support the weight of the net and the flower spikes could grow right thru as long as the hols are half inch or so.

BUNNYMP........

Ill take some sweet flag, corkscrew, and creeping jenny.

I have red and yellow lillies.   how many of each would you like. Smiley

My lillies are shooting up leaves, should be blooming soon.  Iris is growing, Thalia is growing, cattails, and the 2 reeds are growing.    Im planning on draining the pond next sunday and dividing plants.

The lilles have to bloom first tho or i wont know what color they are.

I do not have anything extra to send except for lizard's tail.
I am not looking for anything in particular, but the Thalia did interest me.  I would like to try that.

I haven't been able to come in here that much lately. my DFIL had a 4 way bypass done a few weeks ago on  his heart & I've had to take my DMIL to the city to see him...it's a 3 hour round trip too ....not much time for anything else. Grin

A tornado hit  here on April 3rd. It damaged my garage roof and it blew down 3 sections of my stockcade fence. Plus it broke out a window. We are trying to deal with insurance. So trade might be put off for a while , but tubers cannot be shipped until I sprout them anyway. The water has to be a constant 70*for them to grow right. I have some sprouted but I am taking them to a water garden program I am giving.
